There were no moorings available as the majority of vacant moorings are privately leased or waiting for service. It is a long ride to the dinghy dock! We experienced the worst wind over tide scenario in our 20 years of sailing our boat. The Hudson River with a strong Southerly blowing and the tide running out, makes for very unpleasant conditions. Hauling up the anchor was also difficult against 4 knots of current and 20 knots of opposing wind. The only high point was we timed entering the East River and Hells Gate, perfectly.over 6 years  agoShow
