6º 11.328' N99º 43.854' ETiki28/12/2015. Teluk Ketapang, Langkawi. 15hr beat into 20+kts not so nice. Of coarse the forecast was for light winds under 5... Gunnels, portlights, tank breather tubes all under water for most of the gusts. First Mate was a bit green, Tiki had the bilges full of water and TWO bilge pumps going off - not exactly joyful sailing. Glad be here in Langkawi! 5º 16.506' N100º 11.586' ETiki27/12/2015. Teluk Kembar - SW Penang. We're at Penang! Fantastic motor sail at over 6 kts most the 11 hrs today. Trolled our lure but no luck, probably because what seemed like the entire West coast fishing fleet were out trawling their nets with us today. Hope they had more success. Small local fishing boats guided us in to this anchorage after a change in weather forecast turned 180° making our original destination untenable. Excited to be meeting up with friends for Christmas and are also surrounded by the stored ships of many more cruising friends.
